Frequently Asked
Questions
1. What if the motor doesn’t work?
First, check if you
have connected all cables tightly and correctly, especially battery to
controller, controller to motor, controller to throttle.
Second, connect the
two green wires on the controller, it’s self-learn wires, it can automatically
recognize the motor phase, after you connect the two green wires, the motor
will work itself without using the throttle, after 5 seconds, disconnect the
two green wires, the motor stop running, then use throttle, it should be ok
now. Please note: before connecting the two green wires, make sure your
motor is fixed, otherwise when it works itself, it will run away.
2. What should I do if the motor works reverse?
When
you connect all parts and turn the throttle, find the motor works reverse,
don’t worry, please follow the below steps to make it work forward.
First,
turn
off the power
Second, fix your
motor in case it run away, then connect the motor three phase wires, hall
sensor wires, throttle wires, and the two green wires on the controller
(self-learn function)
Third,
turn
on the power, now the motor works itself automatically without the throttle,
Please note: before connecting the two green wires, make
sure your motor is fixed, otherwise when it works itself, it will run away.
Fourth, when the
motor is working, disconnect the two green wires and reconnect immediately, now
the motor should change direction. after 5 seconds, disconnect the two green
wires.
Now
use your throttle it works forward.
3. What if the motor works with big annoying
noise?
it’s
the motor phase and controller phase that don’t match that cause this problem.
Follow the below steps and solve it.
First, turn off the
power,
Second, fix your
motor in case it runs away, then connect the motor three phase wires, hall
sensor wires, throttle wires, and the two green wires on the controller
(self-learn function)
Third, turn on the
power, now the motor works itself automatically without the throttle
Fourth, after
5-10 seconds, disconnect the two green wires.
Now
use your throttle the noise problem should be solved.
4. What battery should I choose? Are there any
requirements for battery current?
Lithium
battery, and lead-acid battery both are ok, battery current should not be over
the controller limit current, better less than 22A.
5. How many kgs can one motor max load?
Different
size motors’ load capacity is different.
For
one motor, size 3inch to 8inch, max load 100kg, size 10inch to 16inch, max load
150kg.
The
load capacity increases by 50% if add one motor. For example, if you use two pieces
of 13inch motor in one vehicle, the load capacity would be
150kg+150kg*50%=225kg
6. Why did the geared hub motor go faster than I
expected?
Geared
hub motor the non-load speed is about 10-15km/h, when you load like 100kg, it
will go slower, like 8km/h, non-load speed and load speed is different, if you
need it go very slowly, you can use a three speed switch (low-middle-high) to
adjust the speed.
7. How to connect those parts?
Most
connectors of those parts can be directly connected, Partial connectors may
need to be modified, if you don’t know how to modify it, just wrap them with
insulation tape.

8. What do you need to complete a whole system/vehicle?
Battery,
motor, controller, throttle, brakes, and of course the frame.
Kindly Noted:
1)
Don’t connect the power reverse, battery red wire connects to controller power
red, battery black wire connects to controller power black.
2)
Don’t make it overload to work long time
3)
Don’t make it work long time if big noise happens when it’s working, or it will
burn the motor.
4)
All connections should be done after turning off the power
5)
Don’t disassemble the motor and controller at will.
